Hidup Itu Pilihan

JUNIATO SIDAURUK, S.S., M.Hum. lahir di Onan Sirait (Pulau Samosir) 27 Juni 1976. Ia menamatkan jenjang S1-nya dari Fakultas Sastra Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Unsrat) Manado dalam kurun waktu 3 tahun 8 bulan dengan predikat Cum Laude. Dia tertarik dengan keberagaman bahasa. Skripsinya berjudul "PLURALISATION FORMING IN ENGLISH AND DUTCH: A CONTRASTIVE STUDY". Ketertarikannya dalam dunia pengajaran dimulai semenjak di bangku kuliah dengan menjadi Asisten Dosen Komputer di Fakultas Sastra Unsrat (1997-2000). Setelah menamatkan S-1, dia diminta untuk menjadi Koordinator Marketing di UPT-Pusat Bahasa Unsrat (1998), kemudian menjadi Staf Pengajar, lalu ditunjuk menjadi Dosen Luar Biasa di Fakultas Sastra (1999-2003). Ia pernah melanjutkan S2 ke Universitas Negeri Manado (2001) namun tidak selesai karena kendala finansial. Pada 2003, dia hijrah ke Jakarta atas permintaan keluarga. Dia kembali meniti karir dari awal, dan bergabung dengan LP3I Pasar Minggu, LP3I Bogor hingga 2007. Pada 2005 hingga sekarang, dia menjadi staf pengajar bahasa Inggris di Akademi Bahasa Asing Bina Sarana Informatika Jakarta. Di sela-sela kesibukannya, pada tahun 2009, dia melanjutkan kuliah ke jenjang S2 Program Linguistik di Universitas Indonesia (Peminatan Pengajaran). Puji Tuhan, semuanya indah pada waktunya dengan Tesis berjudul "THE USE OF FORM-FOCUSED INSTRUCTION IN SPEAKING CLASS AND ITS EFFECTS ON FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNERS". Dalam masa reses ini, satu yang masih tersisa, sedang mencari peluang studi untuk jenjang Doktor...Amin.
